BerBerio wins YAMA Award
On Octobre 25, the YAMA Awards were presented in Larvik, Norway. These are international prizes for the best music productions for young audiences. The jury nominated BerBerio, a Zonzo Compagnie production, together with a few other productions as best of the past season. The audience awarded the YAMA public choice award to BerBerio, a music production centred round the work of the Italian composer Luciano Berio, played by ensemble Revue Blanche and directed by the Italian artist Letizia Renzini.
This is one of many awards in a row handed out to the succesful Antwerp organisation Zonzo Compagnie, which has, aside from several selections for the Theaterfestival, also won a YAMA award, the European YEAH award, a Klara Prize, the Music Theatre Now prize and the European EFFE award for their productions and BIG BANG festival.
From next week onwards, you can see BerBerio on BIG BANG in Antwerp, Brussels and Ghent.
