Picture of BIG BANG Festival Lille 2019

Always highly anticipated, the ever-popular Happy Days is always a highlight of the season. It is an opportunity to take the family on a musical promenade through our opera house, upside down and right side up, with games along the way, as well as installations, concerts, and other fun surprises. BIG BANG Festival is the main moment of our season dedicated to young audiences.

A production by Zonzo Compagnie in coproduction with Opéra de Lille - with the support of Direction régionale des affaires culturelles (ministère de la Culture), la Région Hauts-de-France, la Métropole Européenne de Lille, la Ville de Lille and the Creative Europe Programme of the European Union.

About Opéra de Lille

The Lille Opera House offers an original and demanding program, with the production of operas from all repertoires from baroque to creation, entrusted to innovative confirmed or emerging artists. Contemporary dance also plays an important role in this project. The objective is to reach a large and diverse audience.

About the venue

Since the reopening in 2004, following the renovation of the building, which was built in 1915, the Lille Opera has become a lyric stage of national reference. It puts into application, under the impetus of its director Caroline Sonrier, a project whose primary mission is openness: openness to all repertoires, to the current creative aesthetic and emerging artists, openness to all publics, to all territories of the region and beyond, etc. From season to season, the project brings together a broad public around original and exacting programming, to anchor opera, dance and the messages that it carries in the imagination of a public that is ever more attentive
