The Musical Labyrinth has gradually become well known. Under this banner, Musica and Zonzo Compagnie transform cultural centres into musical playgrounds. For this edition, sound artist Toon Quanten has designed a new discovery trail. Four spaces for musical adventurers aged four and older. Morpho invites you to play with sound and noise and unfolds as a tactile journey from caterpillar to butterfly.
The journey begins winding and low. It involves crawling and clambering. You grab, squeeze and caress rough and smooth surfaces. Everything crackles and rustles. The touch of your hand makes strings vibrate like a concert at dawn.
Then you land on soft cushions. In this peaceful cocoon, you can close your eyes. You hear a beating heart, the rustling of breath… Jingling music boxes engage in conversation. Then the journey continues and it’s time to search. In the dark, moths roam through the forest. Your touch makes them fly up. You can’t see them, but you can hear them fluttering, hidden among musical trees.
Finally, it’s party time. A swarm of butterflies in the summer sun. While you dance, an organ grunts and blows. Whistles ring out, horns and bells rise. The harder you dance, the happier the music. Hop! Hop! Hop! The roof is coming off!
