MegaTron is the latest creation by sound artist Toon Quanten. The installation is constructed entirely from organ pipes and bellows. If you look closely, you’ll notice that this polyphonic machine actually bears a resemblance to a medieval cathedral.
Tumbling from harmonious polyphony to folk counterpoint, the musicians of Delle Donne accompany the MegaTron. With total dedication, they take you from polyphonic soundscapes for the religious authorities to burlesque songs rooted in folk traditions.
