SOLO POUR TOI

A chair. A veil. An hourglass.
Facing a motionless cellist, an empty chair awaits its guest. When the spectator sits down and turns the hourglass, time opens, the veil lifts, and an improvised solo is born, played with all one's heart, for that one person alone. Sixty seconds of absolute intimacy, a tête-à-tête where anything can happen, where a musical world is created in the instant. Then the last grain falls; the veil covers the face once more. The moment vanishes, unique, irretrievable.

This moving offering is presented by cellist Carmen Bruno , a Canadian-Dutch musician renowned for her versatility and profound interpretations. A soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral player, she performs throughout Europe and America. A member of the Quebec Symphony Orchestra, she also plays regularly with the Montreal Symphony Orchestra and the Montreal Classical Orchestra. Committed to social justice and music education, she uses her art to create authentic encounters—like this suspended moment, offered to one person at a time.

A co-presentation by Les Incomplètes and the Grand Théâtre de Québec
